Hai n Hello..
Hope everyone is fine & doing great with your busy
schedules …. !!
Well… what makes me to write this post today?
I met an Entrepreneur who started his business recently in
Bangalore, which he thinks to get start his business before 5 years.
Then I asked a question to him!! What makes you to take 5 years in
implementing?
He said: To be frank, I didn’t work on it, not because of the
laziness or lack of commitment in me; it is the experience I am lacking in and
encouragement.
LaLi (me): Oh, I also passionate towards entrepreneurship
but waiting for to get connect with likeminded people.
And the very next question he asked me is. Good, so do you
have any burning IDEA in you?
I just replied by nodding head with a smile and started asking
more questions related to his experience.
My first question:
I would like to know the problems you faced in getting started
your business?
Ahmed (Started a management consulting firm with vast experience)
– it depends on your IDEA or business you choose and more over the core team
you are having. Well it comes to me; I am a one man show of my entire business.
So from the beginning i.e., drafting of my business plan to the end of
providing customer service is my role. If you really want to become an
Entrepreneur then start working on your IDEA right now.
LaLi (me) - How can I start working on it without knowing
anything about the Industry or business!! You only said it took 5 years for you
to get it start in order to gain experience!!
Ahmed: Yes, It took 5 years for me to fulfill my dream. It is
all because I didn’t work on it in first 3 years and at the time I realized my
dream it took 2 more years to drawn a complete blue print of my own business. So
tell me is it better working simultaneously with your job?
If you really having a passion to become something then keep
working on it without giving a gap in between, otherwise you might lose your passion
with enthusiasm.
Having an Entrepreneurial spirit is great but keeping it
alive for longer time is really shows your passion towards it. I am not teaching you the entrepreneur ship lessons;
hope I am not making you feel like that...!!
LaLi: No… No... Mr.Ahmed Please share, I am really in need
of experienced guidance. It is my pleasure to have a conversation with you.
Please share or tell me what all I need to get it start or to fulfill my dream
to become an Entrepreneur.
Ahmed: I have seen
many people. Most of them having a common
question that, from where they have to start with or begin with...?
I am seriously suggesting you to get out from the dilemma - where
you need to start with?
It really keeps you low and pushes you back for not doing
anything. There are many things you need
to work on..
Have you studied your Industry or Market you are going to
enter?
Do you know the scope of the market?
Did you identify any niche segments to target?
What is the USP you are having?
Who are your competitors? How they are running their business?
What are their offerings? Strategies?
Do you know the legal issues to start a firm or company?
Do you know how much capital u need to start? Have you
prepared your business plan?
Does u know how to build a website? If not do you have any contacts?
How do you do marketing for your service or product? MLM? Marketing plan?
Staff: IT ? Finance? HR ? What are your mission and vision statements?
Have you selected your core team (like minded people)?
Do have any IDENTITY or Track record to show case yourself?
Where do you get funded?
How do you impress your VC’s or Investors?
which department you need to outsource to concentrate on your core business ?
LaLi: Given a hopeless expression
Ahmed: I am not scaring you for not to become an
Entrepreneur, I am just letting you know there are so many things to start with
or to know some basics as you are going to become founder of the company.
LaLi: How to keep
track of all these things with the busy life?
Ahmed: That is why I told you to start working right now simultaneously
with your job. Keep yourself free to spend some time for your passion. And the
time you spend now on your passion will really helpful to keep you in real
market a bit much faster than the time I have taken to enter in to the market.
LaLi: Yes, I really need to start doing research on the
Industry I have chosen.
Ahmed: Don’t worry how much time it will take to get it
start, always feed your passion with suitable motivating factors. I have seen so
many entrepreneurs failing at the beginning stage itself, it is not because of
the inexperienced individuals it is the support and guidance they required.
Now a day’s there are many start-up incubators came forward to encourage entrepreneurs,
Ex: Microsoft and Start-up circle, Tie Bangalore and many more
Keep an eye what they can do for Entrepreneurs as well as
for you too..
LaLi: Sure, and I would like to be in touch with you as
well.
Ahmed: Any time
LaLi: I am so glad for sparing your time with me and
thankful for making me to realize the valuable time
Ahmed: No worries, I am happy to help you, will be in touch.
Nice to meet you
LaLi: My Pleasure, Good day.
So, here my theme is to make aware of your passion within
you, if you are dedicated and have a strong desire to become an entrepreneur, It
is the time to work from now onwards.
Have a blessed day
LaLi
