Strength of the Management team- the key to attracting Investors
Strength of the Management Team- The key to attracting investors, explains what is the importance of strong management team in an organization and how this strong management team is going to attract the original investors, and also acting according to change in environment and their leadership role in order to establish an environment that motivates specific constituents to change in favor of them.
Potential investors in entrepreneurial enterprises place significance on the ability of the management team to enact change in receptive markets as to earn a multiple of their original investment. It is the ability of the management team to generate confidence that they can deliver results that makes the difference to investors. They must be able to demonstrate their ability to deploy people to execute processes that deliver products and/or services to large markets.
A successful management team may be able to repeat their successes as serial entrepreneurs by knowing how to entertain, inform, convince, persuade, and negotiate with people, and manage processes. The management team must be able to demonstrate that they can enact change, both by being able to cause it or respond to it depending upon opportunities and conditions (especially crises). Causing change affects competitors, but being able to respond to change caused by competitors is essential to sustainability also. The acceptance of new products and/or services in existing markets, or existing products and/or services in new markets is based upon employee, customer, and even supplier constituencies being willing to change their behaviors. Hence management must play the leadership role in order to establish an environment that motivates specific constituents to change. This means being able to communicate both aspirational and inspirational messages that cause others to change their behaviors to adopt a product and/or service, substitute. Such change occurs by understanding the difference between what people need and what they want, and creating emotional messages that cause them to act with urgency.
My view on this article is, strong management team is not only the one in attracting the investors, a strong management team is necessary in every part of the organization, in order to build successful future of the company. The way the author explained of how the management should react with the change is really impressive, in my words the strength of management team is not in responding according to the changes but it lies in how their employees, supplier, customer changes according to the way organization changes, it lies in delivering their aspiration and inspirational messages that impact the behaviors of the people who are the part of their company, this thing really show the potential of strong management team. In order to build or in order to collapse everything in the hands of management.

Negotiations: The Tool Everybody Should Use Every Day
Date: 21/01/2012
This was the article where i have read in internet and reviewing as per my understanding.
Negotiating is the tool where we have to use every day in our life, in this article author mainly concentrated on how the negotiating tool is help full in our career, how it makes us to stand in life and some of the key skills that top negotiator follows.
The main theme of this article is, The key skills or areas that a successful negotiator follows.
1. Know What is Going On- we cannot be effective if we don't know goals or objectives of our own company. Without striving to attain that information we end up ‘the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing'.
2. Prepare – Prepare – Prepare – a good negotiator can only be effective when they are prepared. The better prepared the more effective you will become. Learn about the other side!
3. Learn-Probe-Learn - the best negotiators are like detectives, constantly probing for more information about the opponent's demands, concerns, and financial position to name a few.
4. See The Big Picture- the most effective negotiators are flexible. The negotiation process is like the waves in the ocean constantly changing. As we learn more we must be prepared to adjust to changing merits, influences, requirements and even egos.
5. Thick Skinned or Staying Coooooooool- learn to roll with the punches and not take what is said personal. You need to be able to separate the issues from your emotions. Don't take yourself too serious!
6. Can Break Down The Barriers- there are many forms of barriers that may get in the way which in turn slows down the process. Skilled negotiators learn to recognize quickly the "fly in the ointment" and understand the nature of the problem, separate it and then resolve.
7. Have a Trusting Reputation – the old saying, ‘fool me once – shame on you, fool me twice – shame on me'. Everyone with whom we negotiate forms an impression of who we are as a negotiator and a person. If we create negative perception it will become much harder to be considered, believed or even listening too.
I really found this article is worth full to me because as I am pursuing MBA I should know how to negotiate and convincing with the people around me which is main concept of management that getting things done by others if we really want to get things done by others, negotiating is the best and foremost tool to learn, after reading this article I got to know what are the key areas I need to focus in a successful negotiation and Without knowing or unknowing daily we are doing negotiation in our life, how ? If we go to any unorganized shop or market surely we will go for negotiating on price. Sometimes we do negotiating with our parents that I want this or I want that. Deciding in friends that which movie to go. Convincing our friends to change the plan in vacation. In this way we are facing many situations of negotiating process knowingly or unknowingly but one thing if we know that negotiating is the base for life survival, then we will perform better than the situations faced unknowingly.

Few days back i have read an article on LEADERSHIP 2020, it was an article suggest Companies for "start preparing people" to meet the future Global change. So i am giving few points and my views related to the article which i read.
One thing we need to agree that the workplace where we are now and the workplace where we are going to be in 2020 is never gonna be same, today's work place is all about meeting the domestic needs and just we are in a start on meeting the global status. so keeping in the mind of year 2020 lets analyse and estimate how the competitors are going global and how fast they are achieving global requirements. in order to meet the global status lets start preparing people from now. this is all about the article.
In this article they mainly concentrated on the five key skills of 2020 leaders, before we are going to discuss that, let me share my views on this article. by reading the article few things i understand is suppose a company is now domestic one, obviously in 2020 workplace it will become a global one. so 2020 workplace is gonna be global workplace. clear.
2020 workplace is gonna be digital: Yes the passing of information is going to be fast in 2020 workplace with advanced applications and technology. a real time information transparency is going to seen in 2020 workplace, because rapid increase of social networking sites, chat boards , video and document sharing sites allow for instant transfer of information.
In today's workplace the leaders are said GREAT because they attained integrity, customer commitment and vision. these are the things made them great leaders from leaders. in order to maintain the same dignity of Leader they have to improve the qualities of Global leadership, cross-cultural appreciation, technology savvy, building alliances and partnerships, sharing leadership, prioritizing the development of people and anticipating the future and building institutional capability. these are the real challenges for today's generation leaders.
FIVE KEY SKILLS OF 2020 LEADERS:
COLLABORATIVE MINDSET: The people who can work comfortably in a networked environment, cooperate with competitors, deal across cultures, and navigate complex markets.
Employees list honest feedback as one of the most desired skills in a leader, new protocols are being created to provide continuous stream of real time and instant feed-back. New forms of mentoring include group, micro and macro anonymous mentoring. Team based leadership options, such as collaborative councils and boards, facilitate cross-team functionality. Leaders seek input from all employees. 2020 leaders will factor in the input of various thoughts, experiences, and skills and deploy them for fast, productive results.
TEAM DEVELOPMENT: Younger generation consider work an integral part of their lives. thus they need their job to be fulfilling. in order to meet their career goals they need some support, guidance and learning opportunities which makes them as a part of community. A leader with a collaborative mind set spends time on building rapport and trust. Focusing on the individuals will be the key to retaining employees, as the 2020 leader forges team that rise to the challenge of networked leading.
TECH SAVVY: Regular updating of technology is going to be a major role in keeping the position of the company in top most. they will need to use social technologies which these social technology tools invite transparency, inclusion, and instant communication to address market situations.
GLOBALLY-FOCUSED AND CULTURALLY ATTUNED: As companies become more global, they're exposed to how the economic polices and governance strategies of countries affect other nations. Leaders need to be competent at working with foreign governments. Since their employees will be working with people from different cultures, they'll need to leverage the unique skills of all and create cohesion.
FUTURE-FACING: Scanning the marketplace, identifying trends, and building new skill sets will ensure long term viability and sustainability. competitiveness requires creating a culture of ongoing invention, creative thinking, and multiple-horizon thinking.
Leaders who can take collaboration to a new level in building their teams and who can use the digital tools to their greatest effect, will direct their companies into a dynamic future.
